Longfellow is a community of approx 30,000 located in the southeast section of Minneapolis, located along the beautiful Mississippi River Gorge. The area is named after renowned poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, whose poem Song of Hiwatha brought worldwide fame to local natural attraction Minnehaha Falls. Bordered by Highway 55 to the west and the Mississippi River to the east, it is made of five smaller neighborhoods: Seward, Cooper, Hiwatha, Howe and Longfellow.
