Southwest Minneapolis Real Estate Market Update: What the July 2026 Numbers Really Show
The July 2026 numbers for Southwest Minneapolis tell an interesting story.
At first glance, you could look at the 4.9% decline in median sales price and assume the market has weakened substantially.
That is not really what the broader data shows.
Closed sales jumped dramatically, more homes came to market, inventory increased, and homes took a little longer to sell. At the same time, the rolling 12-month median sales price remains higher than it was a year ago.
In other words, this looks less like a collapsing market and more like a market that is becoming more balanced and more sensitive to pricing.
