One of the hardest questions for buyers is also one of the simplest:
Is this house actually worth what they are asking?
The list price is only a starting point.
Sometimes a home is intentionally priced low to generate competition. Sometimes it is priced exactly where recent sales suggest it should be. And sometimes the seller is simply testing the market.
I have found that the best way to evaluate value is to look at several pieces of information together rather than rely on one number.
